Maintenance procedure of fire pump

I. Routine inspection

1. Operate fire pump once a week with 15 minutes or over and make a record.

2. Wipe off dust, dirt and other bits from the outside of the motor and motor vent timely.

3. Adjust packing seal leakage in time.

4. Check cooling water and seal water supply systems and check if piping line and pump are water leakage.

II. Monthly inspection

1. Check and adjust pump and motor to ensure the concentricity.

2. Check conditions of lubricating grease (oil) and lubricating water.

3. Measure vibration and noise.

4. Check if clearance between parts is too large to cause relaxation phenomenon.

5. Press the key of inspection, fire pump will detect automatically for 3 minutes and it will stop automatically without abnormality.

III. Annual inspection

1. Check wear pattern of rotating part.

2. Check clearance between impeller and seal ring.

3. Check cavitation, corrosion and erosion conditions of impeller and passage parts.

4. Check wear pattern of bearing and mechanical seal.
