Small
submersible pump plays an important role in farm irrigation and farm
domestic water. In order to avoid accidents happened in the usage
process and extend service life, the following points should be noticed
at usage:
Installation
of leakage protector. Submersible pump is easy to leak electricity and
cause electric energy loss or even cause electric shock accident. If
leakage protector is installed, leakage protector will shut off the
power of submersible pump once leakage amount exceeds a certain value
(generally no more than 30 ma) to avoid waste of electricity and ensure
the safety.
The
cable should be overhead and power cord should not be too long when
install submersible pump. Do not force the cable to avoid the fracture
of power cord. Do not sink the submersible pump into the mud at
operation, or it will lead to poor motor heat dissipation and motor
winding burn. At installation, insulation resistance of motor should be
no less than 0.5 M.
Avoid
starting the pump when power supply voltage is abnormal. Difference
between power supply voltage and rated voltage should be no more than
10%. Excessive voltage will cause overheat of motor and burn out the
winding. If the voltage is too low, rotate speed of motor will decrease.
Do
not start and stop the motor frequently. It will back flow when the
motor stops rotating and if starting the motor immediately, the motor
will start up with load, which will cause the winding burn.
Do
not let the pump operates with load for a long time and do not pump the
water with large sediment to avoid burning out the motor. The operator
must observe if the working voltage and current of the motor within the
stipulated value on the nameplate at any time. If it does not match,
stop the motor to find out the reason and remove the fault.
Rotate
direction of the motor must be correct. Currently, there are many types
of submersible pumps that are capable of delivering water both forward
and reverse. However, water yield is small and current is large when the
pump is reversed and motor winding will be damaged when it lasts for a
long time.
Often
check the motor at ordinary times. If find there are cracks on the
lower cover and rubber sealing ring is damaged, change or repair them
timely to avoid water infiltrating into the submersible pump.
